The album opens where the gospel begins — at the cross. This medley weaves the beloved hymn "Jesus Paid It All" with an original declaration of what redemption truly means: not just sinners forgiven, but sons and daughters set free. When He said "It is finished," He meant it. Every chain — sin, shame, man-made tradition, the weight of orphanhood — was severed in that moment. We are no longer walking alone in this world. We sing not to earn our place, but because we already have one.
The Story Behind It
We had been sitting with the hymn "Jesus Paid It All" for weeks — reading it slowly, not singing it. One night, the weight of what those words actually mean hit us. He paid it. All of it. Nothing left to settle. The original section almost wrote itself out of that overflow. We just wanted to sing it like we finally understood it.
